Choosing a mailing bag size

Sizes are measured flat, width first, then height to the seal strip. Allow 2 to 3 cm more than the flat size of the item, and go up a size for anything thick.

17 x 30 and 20 x 30 cm: phone cases, jewellery, cosmetics, single books and other small items.

25 x 35 and 28 x 42 cm: a folded t-shirt, a pair of jeans or a jumper, and most single clothing items.

32 x 45 to 40 x 55 cm: hoodies, coats, bedding and orders of several garments.

45 x 60 to 70 x 90 cm: the largest sizes, for bulky soft goods and big multi-item orders.

Packs and colours

Packs of 20 or 30 suit trying a size or posting now and then. Packs of 100 to 1000 are for regular sellers and cost less per bag, and the mixed-size packs put several sizes in one order.

Colours: black and white are plain and discreet, while pink, purple, cyan blue and light green add colour to gift and fashion orders.

Can anyone see what is inside?

No. The polythene is opaque, so the contents cannot be seen, and the seal is tamper-evident, so it shows if the bag has been opened.

Are they waterproof?

The polythene mailing bags are water-resistant and tear-resistant. They are made for clothes, textiles, documents and other non-fragile items; anything fragile needs a box.

Do you sell packing tape?
